Golani Quarry Project

The Golani Quarry – Conceptual Design – The Quarry Rehabilitation Fund
The plan is based on a continuity sequence.

The quarry is still actively in production. There are sections that require rehabilitation as well as the inclusion of visitors. Following detailed and calculated planning, I decided that the southern embankment of the quarry should be rehabilitated- that which is adjacent to and connects the agricultural lands of Tura’n village and the quarry itself, thus dealing with the embankment and the implications of landscape continuity. The embankment would be seen as a “pier” that allows for access close to the quarry without affecting the work. The landscape “pier” allows for a viewpoint overlooking the area and an observation point into the quarry.
